Sad day!!! Yes, I said SAD day. The bloody vultures attacked the only African president, heck, the only president who provided universal free education, medical care, lowest taxes in the world, payments [dividends] from oil proceeds, low food prices, one of the highest literacy rates in the world [Not Africa, World!!] etc. etc.

What was their excuse again? Would an American president or any European leader stand and watch as organized gangs attack police stations and other security installations steal arms and use them to attack government forces?

Was Gadaffi attacking his people before the rebels masquerading as "protesters" started their overthrow process???

Why haven't the US and NATO attacked Israel? How many innocent Palestinians are killed daily by Israeli forces? Israelis bomb apartment buildings full of women and children because they believe one or two so called terrorists live in one of the houses in the apartment building.

And some wazuans still believe this war by the west was to protect innocent Libyans. Seriously? How much intelligence does one need to see through this facade? There are no innocent Syrians? Innocent Palestinians?

Gadaffi was not threat to anyone. No neighbouring country ever felt threatened. No Libyan community ever felt threatened. Gadaffi was attacked because he couldn't take bullshit from the west like a "good boy". He was just too independent for the liking of the west. He didn't need their money, he didn't take their bullshit, he didn't take instructions from a western capital. He had to go. What if we ended up with 2,3,..5,..20 such presidents in Africa? Something had to be done!

@MaichBlack,
I concur with you. I know of very many foreigners (including Kenyans) who were making a living in Libya before the war. Sad that he died before his dream of USA (United States of Africa) came true...May he RIP. Sad

The guy may have been good to the Libyans but why remain in power for 4 decades? I have never understood what it is that gets into people's heads once they are in power. Our neighbour M7 will be next in line

Of course the west is salivating at the prospect of stealing the oil in Libya.Watch and see how they will fight each other as the west harvests oil.

1) How hard is it to mobilize to celebrate anything?
Didn't you see people celebrating burning of churches and property, killing of fellow Kenyans etc. during the PEV. Would somebody watching such images in another country be right in saying that KENYANS were celebrating? Do you understand propaganda and how it is used to convince individuals with average and below average intelligence?

2) Who's the source of the footage you are watching? CNN? BBC?
You need some education on western media and how they try to influence opinions and policy. Did you know CNN for example had a very great roll to play in the attack of the Talibans and Iraq after 9/11. Were you watching their news, interviews, opinion pieces etc. Bush had no choice but to attack someone. Anyone. That or he would have looked like a sissy who can't protect the "motherland" and his presidency would have been over.

Back home. Are you aware ALL major western news networks had platoons of journalist covering the constitution referendum in Kenya? I didn't see even a 30 second news article on the same in any of these news networks. Guess why? The referendum was peaceful and they had come to cover violence!
