Safaricom loses new mobile subscribriptions HY-on-HY while Orange takes up the chunk

Mobile Money no of subsriptions stagnates -(0.1%)
SMS Sent per subscriber stagnates Q-on-Q -(0.4%)

For mobile industry, Y-on-Y

Investments -32.6%

And data

VERDICT: Airtel destroyed the market - they continue to loose subscribers with only 14% of market, while definitely making continued losses. Overall Investment in the sector down.

The dear subscribers who benefited (thankyou Airtel) are talking less (from 1hr40mins down to 1hr22mins per month) and paying less (from 389/= to 349/= per month).
