Location: Southern Sudan & Nairobi
Hi Wazuans,
I am a businessman in South Sudan. I get paid in SS pounds and have to queue at KCB/Equity for USD allocation.
After independence, It's become almost impossible t transfer these funds coz of dollar scarcity/restrictions in Juba. I want to get out of this market and invest elsewhere until their forex situation stabilizes. It's quite some amount and will lose 20% if i try the the black market. Anyone with alternative ideas on how to get this money out.

i suggest anyone doin biz in sudan avoids payments in SSP if possible, the country has major hard ccy issues and there are virtually no buyers of SSP(banks), even the central bank(BOSS) doesnt it wud rather buy SSP from the black market since said black market is run by the mandarins at BOSS

i dont think many people have a choice than to get paid in SSP.
