In the interest of full disclosure, doesn't a freehold lease mean that the land ownership reverts back to you after a certain period of time?

NOPE you are confusing the term leasehold(has a term limit of about 99yrs in most cases less and reverts back to the state after the expiry of the lease I think no burial permit can be issued for such land tenor) and freehold(no term limit you own the land exclusively you ca even be buried init if you want since no rates are charged on it.)

Thats How I understand the two tenor system dont take my word for it research further.

This is the perfect definition. On burial -- very interesting, I didn't know that one can't be buried on leasehold land. But for 1/8 it wouldn't leave much space for a grave even on freehold.

@selah, freehold and leasehold landowners pay RATES. But land RENT should be paid by leasehold landowners. Rates are paid to local authorities while land rent is paid to the central govt.
