Cabinet approves draft law to move General Election date from second Tuesday in August to third Monday in December.
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

it is a suggestion to me i think the parliament will take 4 minutes to passs.

Does this mean that come 2017 the erections will be in december? I had liked the idea of august.

August is just a terrible month to hold elections - rain and cold in many parts would just complicate matters.

Yes it may be cold but we dont have many holidays in august.....december has enough holidays .....if erections are held in august I was sooo sure of at least 2 days......

In on different note, I used to be equally obsessed with this holidays especially the impromptu ones till I became my own boss. d'oh! d'oh!

No problem with me. At leat we will have a new year with a new President and hope they remove ambiquity as regards the immediate next and any other election dates

....sounds reasonable, August was rather ambitious....we need time to agree on boundaries etc meanwhile its ok for Kenyans to have all other erections in December......an earlier erection is not a good idea

You've all missed the point. Hidden in the bill is the real bill - removal of the two third gender requirement. Remove this from the Bill and as far as I'm concerned you can have the next election in 2030 for all I care. As long as the gender rule is there I will not support the bill.

Wrong. There is no intention to remove the gender rule.
