The group stage games of the greatest club competition in the world - the UEFA Champions League - start this week. Let the games begin.

Predictions? Opinions?

After being humbled by Real Sociedad, I dont think Barca will want to start taking things for granted. But AC Milan is formidable.

Aaron Ramsey out but Gervinho will be fresh for the match after the three game EPL suspension. We have Arteta, Song, Benayoun, Arshavin....they can all play AM position. The atmosphere in the Dortmund stadium is just amazing, their fans make Anfield look like a Library.

@ Jus Blazin....Barca lost their opening match to Hercules in the 2010-2011 season. AC Milan will be without Ibrahimovic plus they also drew their opening match in Serie A. The Catalans will also be without Sanchez for a while but still have Thiago and Cesc. Hapa naona kichapo ya 4 or 3 goals to Barca....

possible starting XI

Arsenal (4-3-3):
Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Walcott (Benayoun), Song, Arteta; Gervinho, Van Persie, Arshavin

but to me,I do not think it has always been wise to start Arsharvin especially as a striker. He should be redeployed as a sub in midfield. Young Park could be better to start but again anything may happen.

The man to watch especially by Arsenal central defenders is BVD Mario Gotze who has potential to destabilize our Szczesny.

I predict a 1-1 draw or 2-0 in favour of Arsenal. This is having in mind Gervinho and Song continue to impress and supply the ball to RvP.

Dortmund are a bit similar to Arsenal in terms of playing an open game. I'd rather have Walcott and Gervinho starting on the flanks....it will be a match played with pace. I'll also go for 1-1 scoreline atleast or 2-1 to Arsenal if Arteta is at his best.
