Cancer infections are growing at a very alarming rate here in Kenya if i go by the number of people i know who have been diagnosed with the condition in the recent past.
in my opinion, the Cancer menace is worse than the HIV menace due to the amount of pain it causes and the amounts of money used to treat it. Taking the recent case of our very Minister for Medical services who got diagnosed with the disease and were it not for his position (in his own admission)to get resources to treat and manage the condition.
If there are any doctors in this forum, and other enlightened wazuans would someone give us an idea on the following;

i)Is it possible to get treated for cancer locally?
ii)Which is the most affordable route (for wanjiku)
iii)Does the government support research and treatment?
Are there any foundations/donors who help Kenyans and where can they be found?

How many Oncologists are in practice and the ones they would refer one to.

Hi friend,
I am not a medical practitioner but i know that cance is an abnornal growth of cells on the body. Tha fatality of it depens on the type of cells and the affected area.
It is better if we highlighted the type of cancer before we start highlighting the treatment mechanisms.
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'
