d'oh! d'oh! Try to confirm year of manufacture of a Japanese
Motor Vehicle on the following site but seems not to work.

@KenSaf - not sure abt Japanese cars but with most European and American cars, the model last starts in the preceding year in the third quarter - e.g. If a VW Golf was manufactured in October 1987, it will be called a 1988 model - this mainly when thinking of spare parts, etc. So the rule of thumb is if its manufactured between January and September of a year, the model is for THAT year. If its between October and December that year, say 2002 ( until August the next year) it is counted as a 2003 model.

Always check the small tag on the seat belt...people rarely replace this...

It should be able to tell you the year.However, japanese mostly use first month of registration
