The government should introduce new guidelines to bus builders.. The cabin should be reinforced like a tank instead of what we see today, fibreglass , fibreglass everywhere and a lot of body filler.
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

Speaking of which, is it possible for a (mini-)bus to have ABS (or some mechanism of emergency/instant breaking)? I hear some Indian ones have the same.
Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

A Member of the Meru County Assembly died Monday afternoon after he lost control of his vehicle on the Meru-Nanyuki road. Maua Ward representative Abednego Mitine alias Kastarehe died in the 3.00 pm accident at the Subuiga black spot after his vehicle rolled several times. Confirming the accident, Buuri police boss John Ngare said Mr Mitine was heading to Meru from Nanyuki town where he had been attending a meeting with his colleagues from the assembly. He said Mr Mitine was rushed to the St Theresa Kiirua Mission Hospital by well-wishers but died as he was undergoing treatment. Mr Ngare said preliminary investigations showed that the deceased could have been speeding when the accident happened. "We are also suspecting that the driver could not have been familiar with the route," said Mr Ngare. He said they are investigating the accident and added that the traffic department will continue to monitor vehicles to ensure they were not overloaded or speeding. The body is at the hospital's mortuary while the wreckage was towed to the Meru Police Station. OBSERVE TRAFFIC RULES Mr Ngare called on motorists to observe and obey traffic rules in order to reduce the number of accidents especially on the Subuiga stretch. He said several lives have been lost at Subuiga and that this should be warning to motorists to be always careful when driving along that particular area. "Subuiga is a notorious and dangerous area. Drivers should take extreme caution for their own safety because we should not continue loosing lives here," he said. On November 28, 2013, two people driving in a Ministry of Agriculture van died after their vehicle rammed into a stationary lorry at the same spot. The driver of the lorry who had not put up any sign to warn other motorists that the lorry had broken down was arrested and later charged in court. At the same spot on July 29, 2011, three Loreto Msongari pupils perished while another 69 were injured after their school bus veered off the road and hit a stationary bus. On October, 2012, Mr Ogbonna Chidi, the Ripples International CEO died after his vehicle overturned at the black spot.

Which will multiply the accidents as the top heavy buses COG rises n tyres burst under enormous weights, and owners charge an arm n a leg to cover for increased fuel costs.

Higher backrests of the seats protect the belted up pax in most cases. Those who ignore are in many instances crushed by the roof or are thrown out then flattened. Buckle up!

By displaying the license plates you may have exposed some people to insurance fraud.
