Electronic Trading in Uganda Stock Exchange Please Help

Fellow Skerians,

Pleasse kindly confirm has Uganda stock exchange commenced electronic trading of shares ?

I know they have set up Securities Central Depository (SCD),but my question is have they commenced operations and when was that ?

Unfortunately not yet,we are still trading manually with certificates.

Many thanks. No problem though.I have finalized a holiday trip to Kampala by this mid December so I wanted to use that opportunity to open a SCD account to trade in USE.

Paper certificate is not ideal for a non resident foreigner.

Hope there will be another time.
