My B14 engine began showing the engine light and sure enough before I could get to the mechanic, the engine knocked. Ill advise you not to drive further. Have it fixed before the problem is out of control. As for me I had to buy a whole new engine since the repair cost was just too high.

Bw. Jhonie dont worry too much. An engine light, technically an engine mulfunction indicator light, is basically an oxygen sensor that comes on when oxygen levels in the exhaust exceed a set threshold. This indicates that the engine is not burning fuel efficiently, causes are numerous begining with untuned engine, service due, faulty fuel pump, ecu faults, all the way to a dying engine. What to do, have a trained proffessional take a look after you rule out service and tune up. Yes you finally have to visit a dealer

Simply put - Take the car for computer diagnostics to establish cause for the check engine light display.

Kindly take it to a competent computer diagnosis and the problem will be displayed and fixed accurately.
I took my fielder recently and what the roco makanica could not fix (displaying engine light) was done within minutes- it was just a worn out sensor.
Unfortunately, all those old fashioned mechanics will be phased out if they don't invest in learning the new technology. Fortunately to us, all mechanical problems are stored in the cars computer.

jhonie, it was done in Nakuru. There are good and honest mechanics there unlike the ''know it all'' Nrb mechanics. Paid KES 1500 for diagnosis and 1k for sensor repair.

Car gurus how can I confirm the engine size of car? I want a 1,500cc but I suspect the one I have found is a 1,200cc, is there somewhere on the car that one can check
1-Engine size.
2-ABS
3-AEB auto emergency brakes
4-Electronic stability control etc
