I have been keenly watching the Citizen Tv series on some of our politicians and they have left me with a sour feeling in my mouth. In the series they are depicted as loving people who are ready to fight for our country, but i can't seem to stop wondering whether it is for their own personal gain that they want to be CEO of this country.Yes they might be loving(who is not to their families),and yes they might have the desire to lead.....but is this desire sincere,or is it a case of .....'it should also be my time to eat'?
Kenya has had numerous successful politicians whose porojo we have been having since time immemorial. It is time Kenya has a leader, who will strategically plan for the people and not react to issues.
In the business world, the success of a business is seen in visionary leadership, and individuals motivated to the success of the organisation. In Kenya today, with a blurred vision for the leadership(each trying to secure a seat in the next elections),and each Kenyan trying to make ends meet,i fear that we as the voters will have a very dificult time in choosing our next CEO.
Yet 2012 is so far away, from recent history of the Hague,WetangulaNgilus and jaws of Lumumba, you never know.We should brace ourselves for a major shaping of the political atmosphere in 2011.
Happy Holidays.
