Rafa gave the directors an ultimatum to give him money to buy 5 players or sack him. They have obliged and sacked him pap. Dude is such a flop.

Didn't Mourinho win the Champions League and the League [A couple of times] with the current squad - more or less? They dominated the League so much you couldn't imagine they would be in their current position! Benitez is surely an experienced failure. And he even has the guts to bad mouth his players and the management. Who does that?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Was watching skysports today in the morning when they interviewed Rafa's biographer and the guy reckons the only reason Rafa went to Inter was to prove to Liverpool that he was still a big team coach - who in their right mind would go to a Jose side that had just won the treble and before that the scudetto 4 times in a row?The only way was down!

That said, to be 13 points adrift of AC Milan who have not even been convincing this season speaks volumes of Rafa's motivational and management skills - those guys had won everything last season so I wouldn't be surprised if the hunger had abated just a bit.

So now he's in Liverpool waiting for the agreement to be finalized with a possible 8M Euros payout (the guy is making serious harvests) depending on whether he's taken up by another team immediately or somesuch - not a bad payoff for 6 months in office!

Benitez should have learnt from failure Wenger. At least Wenger knows very well that he is a failure but he is always full of praise for his weak squad.

Not to defend him too much but Inter have had a large chunk of injuries and absentees this season apart from the backline. and possibly etoo.
Inter without Sneidjer is engineless. Dude was diagnosed with anaemia or something.

Benitez though has a tabia of extravagant shopping

Depends on your definition of failure.

Read a bit on the success or otherwise of implementing a stadium expansion or rebuild using internally generated resources done by other clubs.

Liverpool and Tottenham were/are considering it.

success is usually on the pitch. Even if Arses were making 1B pounds in profits, do you think their fans will care about that when the trophy cabinet is covered in so much dust it would require a palaentologist to predict the date of its last use?

in other news, I believe Benitez is a shrewd business man. 4 million GBP from Liverpool, and now with his contract with Inter terminated, he could be expecting some more in his bank account. IMHO he knew he was not good enough for Inter, yet he gets paid his full contractual dues for ruining Inter in 6 months.

Its the End of an Error, the sequel. But would you say someone (like Benitez)who commits too many errors is erotic?

Currently Wenger is the second (after SAF)most successful manager in the EPL. He was the first non-British manager to win the Double in England, the only manager in FA Premier League history to go through the entire season without defeat and is inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements as a manager in the English game. Early this year he was shortlisted by FIFA as a nominee for Coach of the year award despite not winning any trophy for 5 years.

FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Football 2010
Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea FC), Vicente del Bosque (Spain), Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United FC), Josep Guardiola (FC Barcelona), Joachim Löw (Germany), José Mourinho (FC Internazionale Milano/Real Madrid CF), Oscar Tabárez (Uruguay), Louis van Gaal (FC Bayern München), Bert van Marwijk (Netherlands), Arsène Wenger (Arsenal FC).

I will know he is not a fiasco if he wins any other trophy this season other than the mud-cup. But I fear that won't happen.

You do realize that Man Utd only won the Carling Cup last season.... I've never really ranked this cup but i think we need it this season to take some pressure off and change the mentality of the players.

Typical of wazuans...we start off with benitez and inter then end up on the usual arsenal vs Man-u!

Anyway...as for Benitez...good riddance. Its called cutting your losses and running fast.

SHIFTING OF GOAL-POSTS.....Thought they have been winning the Emirates cup and in your own words its superior to carling cup. I also thought carling cup only exists to be "dismissed" by the mighty aseno!!!

Hope you also realise that this is the only "cup" aseno have a realistic chance of winning............The other trophies are too big for aseno.
