as long as you have not won the first round, there is no bad news. Thought this is bad news for you. We even add you mm votes and you'll go nowhere.

According to my sources the delay is because they are waiting for raila to prepare for his defeat and for the speech writers to finish their job

someone talked about such statements hapo juu...

HASSAN should give these guys (returning officers or party officials )2hrs to bring the results or he announces the results as they are final.Kenya is at standstill because of 2 fellows. it's unfair.

Now I see why Kenyans fight everytime.

Patience is at a premium here.

I've just seen some talking heads, literally, on TV giving some of the most alarming analysis on all the 3 big stations

on twitter, some so called twitter gurus are posting what can basically be called crap. All without an iota of evidence or sense in them.

If a people can't be patient then they have no reason to claim to be democratic.

These problems happening in Kenya have happened everywhere in the world. But its only in Kenya where everyone has all of a sudden decided there are IT guys in Ngong Forest changing results, policemen dying before God called them, rejected votes even being considered as a topic of discussion, etc.

Hii mambo ya conspiracy theories has to end if this country is to go anywhere. Now you see why there are those who decided to send their families out there.

Kenyans just can't be trusted to be calm, patient and reasonable.

in any case he is admitting their stronghold results are delayed so you can conclude who is tampering with elections, through 'stronghold' results been delayed by party officials.

Kenyans need to be clever, wise and objective.

The people spreading worry is not the IEBC. The results are delayed, because of system problems. Who has never seen a computer crash? It happens and like they say, SHIT CAN REALLY HAPPEN.

But when you have fools such as Alai coming up with conspiracy theories, you should ask yourself, who pays Alai? Who is paying him now to post things without any evidence whatsoever?

When I hear ODM fellows proclaiming they won, I have to wonder, who told them? Why should I listen to them? why the need to prove it NOW and not be patient for the real results when they become available?

When I hear lawyers and political harlots calling themselves political analysts on TV, ask yourself, who pays them?

Kenyans need to be wise and figure out who is the chawa in their clothes.

What is so hard about waiting for someone to travel overnight from Mombasa to bring to the city the REAL numbers?

@alma. What you say could have made sense except that there were warning signs things were not going well at IEBC way b4 they exploded.
E.g. Makau Mutua (Prof.) warned about the bungling IEBC team only to be confronted by Ndemo that he was unpatriotic.
If u read above u'll see a link to an article by Sarah Elderkin warning, TWO weeks before March 4th, of the UNREALIABILITY of the IEBC electronic transmission system yet nothing happened.

It is a case of shooting the messengers just because we don't agree with them (or bcoz of some ulterior motive). In that sense even what @McReggae states as attempts to mess the vote actually makes sense.
Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

Last week, the IEBC called IT-savvy representatives of political parties to a meeting on Friday at the Sunshine Holiday Inn in Westlands, Nairobi, where the use and efficacy of the equipment to be employed for the election counting and reporting was to be demonstrated. A representative of the US National Democratic Institute (NDI) was also present.

Party participants had a whole range of questions on which they wanted reassurance from the IEBC, especially concerning potential failures carried forward from the past.

To demonstrate how the new system would obviate all this, some of the participants at the meeting were divided into five groups of three, each group a mock ‘polling station’. They were given mobile phones such as those to be used on March 4. The phones are loaded with the software and menus for completing the tasks at hand.

The remainder of the group sat watching the screen, waiting for the ‘results’ to come in.

That’s when the problems started. The five ‘polling stations’ were initially all unable even to log in.

After a few of the five did eventually manage it, the next problem arose. They were logged in but there was no connectivity with the ‘tallying centre’. The ‘polling station’ callers could not be authenticated.

Finally, after struggling for ONE HOUR, only ONE of these five ‘polling stations’ managed to transmit its results.

Now, much as we want to trust that the IEBC is going to do a good job, we have to ask – if four out of five ‘polling stations’ have problems in a demonstration meant to show the efficient use of this technology, what on earth is going to happen when 33,000 polling stations all try to log in and transmit results at the same time?

We hope the IEBC is trying to fix these problems but, on the basis of the evidence so far, and considering the sheer volume of the data to be transmitted, it certainly appears that there could be a massive system failure.

Hahaha..I had not seen this information before but from what I saw at the polling station, I expected the transmission to be sham...And I actually posted that here.

The problem we have in Kenya is that most of the IT Jobs are with the wrong people. It is a shame that IEBC even had the guts to say they have a system with these kinds of failures.
