TAZ wrote:@Githundi.....I think its a bit ridiculous for you to claim that Man Utd and Chelsea play the same kind of football. Mourinho's style of play has always been the same especially against the big boys, park the bus and try to score on the counter. At the Etihad his squad was set up to do exactly that against City's attacking players but Demichilis gave Matic too much space and time to penetrate and distribute the ball to Hazard and Ramirez. Earlier this season when Chelsea lost against Everton and Basel (their worst league start in 10 years) Mourinho indicated that his side's poor form is because he was trying to improve their style of play.....when he realized it wasn't working he went back to what he knows best. I have not criticized Mourinho's style of play all i'm saying is that it hasn't changed. Anyway we'll have another chance to evaluate Chelsea's performance against City (FA Cup). @ TAZ, we agree to disagree. As you say, time will tell. Democracy does not belong to the dead

Now, that's not gonna be easy but I think they can do it. The thing I can almost bet on is, Moyes losing to Man-u's lifetime bitter-sweet rival Arsenal on 12th is like firing himself. Aseno play Man U in midweek not on weekend. Forget about the rivalry between Man U and aseno fans in kenya, Man U's traditional bitter rivals have always been Liverpool not aseno or even city. IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

githundi wrote:kaka2za wrote:@ Githundi Chelsea have been playing counter attacking football for ages. Mourinho has always preferred big players and physical players incl Essien, Drogba,Ibrahamovic, Quaresma etc. No wonder he likes Rooney. Nothing has changed. One win should not make us forget that Mourinho brought the concept of parking the bus to BPL. Not really, Mourhino first stint, defensive football what is being called parking the bus. The second stint counter attacking football, just like manu. Currently many teams have are into attacking football, starting from arsenal, man City, Liverpool, Swansea, Everton, Newcastle, Aston villa...... Its never been Mourinho's idea to play beautiful football.Real Madrid forced him to learn to play beautiful football. That's why he has been branded' Not a friend of football' all these time.He could no longer get the concept of beautiful football at Real Madrid. That partly why he opted out. He can try to learn it at chelsea....seems its sinking in for once! Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. –Albert Einstein.

As a man, would you like a beautiful yet barren wife, or one who is not so beautiful but gives you many healthy strong children? I know what I'd like.... Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

At the current position man-u is on the table, I understand why they've gone back to their 'traditional' rival BBI will solve it :)

Traditional bitter rivalry has got absolutely nothing to do with current positions on the log. In case you don't know, aseno traditional bitter rivals are Spurs, and these has got nothing to do with the clubs league positions at any one time. Traditional rivalry has little to do with recent trends. Utd vs Scousers, Arsenal vs Spuds, Newcastle vs Sunderland etc all go back several decades ago. In fact Arsenal vs utd is limited to title chase only. Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

The Genius that is Jose.. @Taz.. We clearly watched different games if you thought Mourinho set up chelsea to defend (pack the bus). His set up was what is called "Higher Pressure Triangle" the three man midfield, Matic and Luiz were to deal with Yaya and Fernadinho and Ramirez was to support both defence and attack whichever way it suited and this worked tremendously. Games are won from the mid-field and one of the reasons Matic was bought is he influnces games (meaning he can pass forward and shoot) and most importantly he is a box to box DM meaning he can sit infront of the back four alone like Claude Makelele used to do, nowadays we see teams employing to DM's. Mikel always passed sideways/backwards hence does not influence the game and Lampard is on his last legs. Willian played the no 10 role because of his energy and strength hence why Oscar was benched. What was interesting to see (from the vantage position we were at the Etihad) was how quickly thy got into a defensive shape when they lost the ball and Willian was the catalyst to attack. (Meaning retrieve the ball, Pass it to Willian, both Hazard and Ramirez run on the wings and Etoo center (how i wish we had a proper no 9 who can shield the ball) this would have been a different scenario. Mourinho defenitely wants to win the title (though he wont admit it) however the team is been set up for the CL onslaught. Guess we have run out of superlatives to describe Moyes and the fact of the matter is he is just not cut for the big league, the sooner Man U suits relaise this the better it will be for them. Wenger has given the word frugality a whole new meaning and i see them there or there about, where they have always been. Will they win the title? I dont think so purely by the size of the squad. The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

2, 3 years ago this would have seemed an absurd thing to contemplate but the truth is after the cruciate knee ligament damage against Basel the man has not been himself....there was a time his partnership with Rio was unmatched! So it is surreal that I feel nothing to hear the three musketeers will most likely/definitely be leaving in the summer. For me my biggest worry is Rooney. No CL football and he'll definitely leave, and Chelsea will definitely be in the mix, hopefully Madrid and PSG will invite a bidding war if/when the time comes - cannot imagine Rooney joining Chelsea BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

Another reason why Moyes might not be the problem at Man Utd.
