How else can KQ achieve a young fuel efficient fleet if not via purchase.. Leased planes are usually older

A few years ago but around the same time...
Delta bought old planes, refurbished the and made huge profits off utilizing cheap planes.
KQ bought new planes (kickbacks?), couldn’t make the payments and made losses galore.

How old were the Delta planes? Fact check please! They refurbished their own aircraft at KES 80.8B https://www.usatoday.com...arrowbody-fleet/4370609/

There is nothing wrong in delta refurbishing it's own planes. It's like buying your own house which after some years will need refurbishment

AFTER making the huge profits!
Delta bought cheap(er) planes, refurbished them and put them into service.
What’s $1bn in refurbishment for many airworthy planes?
Compare this to $1bn in new planes that were bought using debt which couldn’t be serviced. KQ’s new planes had to be sold or leased at a loss.

We are becoming a socialist state...
They went on (illegal) strike and Mikosz was right in firing them.
Employees [includes managers] in Kenya want the benefit of being owners without the risks of being owners. Where were they when KQ needed a bailout?

Look at the idiot who reinstated the crooked mbugua.
