KQ has barely started flying NBO-Luanda & is already looking at expanding the service.

ET already flies to Washington DC 6x/week but now daily & with larger plane...

Pity we have the lousy JKIA coz imagine how many passengers KQ would fly to the USA/Canada!!!

At JKIA it often seems every 4th Kenyan is flying (on KLM-KQ) to Europe is then flying to USA...

@VVS

ET has a lot of support from the huge Ethiopian population residing in DC.

I am sure there are huge numbers of East Africans living in the DC area too. Plus it is relatively easy to drive/fly from NY/NJ/Boston area to DC (BWI/IAD) to catch a flight to Nairobi. The useless folks at KAA/JKIA is making KQ miss out on a lucrative market!

Interesting! Our KQ beats the likes of ET hands down.

KQ price has fallen dramatically to 48/-... In a way not surprising since there was plenty of euphoria after the YES win...

Nevertheless, I have been crunching KQ's 1Q passenger numbers & they look much better than 2009.

The PLF is up which means higher net revenues. The RPK also increased by 9% q-o-q. Of course, all this info will only show up 'financially' in Nov 2010 when they release 1H results.
