You have two options. Apply for subsequent bond offers at CBK, primary market. For example buy a 5 year bond in a certain month then several months later return to secondary market to buy the same 5 year bond (or any other that is made available for purchase). What are the chances of getting the Infrastructure Bond in the secondary market? Do u know the of the next release of IFB? You have my email...il get you the IFBs... Thanks. I have some maturing cash in October. @maka, umetuma something to my inbox? In today's paper I can see 5 yr and 20 yr treasury bonds? Any news about IFB? My lady at CBK told me that if it takes more than 14 days to get a CDS account then its your commercial bank who is playing the delay tactics! Big banks/tier-1 are notorius for doing that especially if you have a monied account with them. Want to open a CDS account chap chap? Move your cash (if above 1 million) from tier-1 to KWFT or Faulu temporarily then wire them back to tier-1 or CBK direct after getting CDS account and/or after successfully bidding the bills/bonds. Now you know. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

What I say is that the CBK will you to have a commercial bank account in order to do the bills/bonds. Now your bank will need to do some checking and stamping some forms from CBK, and its at that point when they take their sweet time...with baseless excuses, sijui ohhh our system with CBK is down, commercial director is in Juba, your account has an error which needs to be corrected, sujui be patient youngman, eti patience pays....na saa hiyo the bond market is already closed. With capping of interest, this will most likely be below 12% If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

20yr at 14% undersubscribed From cytonn; In line with the Securities Issuance Calendar, the Government issued 2 bonds: a 5-year bond (FXD 3/2016/5) and a reopened 20-year bond (FXD 1/2016/20) looking to raise Kshs 25.0 bn for the purpose of budgetary support. Given (i) the Government is not under pressure to finance the 2016/2017 budget, having raised Kshs 67.4 bn against a pro-rated target of Kshs 53.0 bn, and (ii) the enactment of the Banking (Amendment) Act, 2015 resulting in lower lending rates by commercial banks and preference to lend to the less risky government, we expect downward pressure on interest rates. Therefore, with the secondary market trading at 13.6% and 14.8% for the 5-year and 20-year bond, respectively, we are of the view that investors should bid between 13.25% and 13.80% for the 5-year and between 14.0% and 14.9% for the 20-year bond with more bids towards the latter. possunt quia posse videntur

My forecast is a subset of the Cytonn rates, only that their ranges are wider. The basis is the current market yields. That's why I thought they are not that aggressive as you said
