@Cde - with elections ard the corner, that's biting too much risk trusting my small KES holdings with gok. A blue chip with a decent dividend would get that tbill fund.

Speaking of tbills, I can see the rates are silently slipping in droplets just like inflation. The other day BD had an article on CBK warning about loom food shortage due to frost bite. Now the tbill rate or inflation rate tug of war here is going to be painful & cbr too is caught up.
Btw didn't know KE has frost bite issues... Does it snow these days?

@hisah If GOK goes down all blue chips will crumble & down with it..

GOK is the independent factor while blue chips are the dependent factor..

@hisah it is well with me for us to scorch under Q1 sunshine in exchange for drenches in Q2..let the seasons play out as they should. Frost is a given - hot days, cold nites.

Frost happens every year in Jan - March and September in the leeward side of the Aberdares.

Morning of 2nd Jan was bad enough to kill tree seedlings, the worst in many decades, reported even in areas that do not have a frosting history.

If u have idle cash in the short term, TB investment stil remains as a better investment option and more so if ur bank is not willing to negotiate higher rates 4 th same. NSE stil n will continue 2 remain unattractive until post election BUT MOSTLY when th eurozone crises is resolved

KE inflation forecast by an SA bank - they expect inflation rate at single digits by Q3:2012. Let's see how it plays out as 2012 unfolds...

March-May rains maybe on the light side. Oil is under pressure from the Iran thingy. I also expect general election related money supply... I however have a bet with somebody that the inflation will be "adjusted" again. Downward ofcourse
