Mumias Sugar huge demand

Was at Nakumatt. Mumias sugar 2kg was retailing at 250/=, Nakumatt's branded sugar, 2kg was going at 200/=. Almost bought Mumias out of loyalty but the 50/= was too much for me. Opted to save the 50/=.

Even the blue label could be Mumias.The branded sugar comprises of roughly 20% of Mumias production while the rest is 50kg bags.

If cost was the issue ( which it usually is, then I can tell you that its possible to buy a kilo ( sukari pima ) at 50 bob, 2 KG's at 100 bob etc at the local kiosk.
