@Ericsson - Seems that most airlines licensed to fly by KCAA are domestic airlines [why restrict other investors?] or charter operators. Charter flights target specific markets and whose clients/tourists are often sold packages including flights. If they don't come to Kenya, they will go elsewhere.
If one checks out Thomson/TUI websites, the deals are incredible i.e. the entire holiday package can be as low as what we pay NBO-LHR-NBO on KQ. This means either KQ has a great source market OR there's a monopoly. I wish I could get such deals from TUI/Thomson ex-Kenya to Egypt, India, Vietnam, Turkey, etc.
