KRA going after App downloads, Uber, Taxify.

Its now a matter of when, not If, the likes of Facebook, Google, IG, etc get roped in for income generated in Kenya.

Uber, and Taxify have offices in Kenya. Wake us up when they get FB (which owns IG) google has operated in Kenya for close to 10 years now FYI

What law?

The budget proposes that whatever you transact online attract a 1.5% tax.



In other words, anything you purchase online will attract a 16% VAT plus 1.5% online tax transactions.
