Why cant the TV stations give all this politicians a media blackout

Its easier to pluck out the television than for the television to pluck out what you don't want.

Don't media houses have a responsibility to filter out hatred bearing messages and incitement? Is there a way this can be addressed?

Guys.. calm down

There is going to be no clashes in this country, more so Luo's vs Kikuyus

reason being... the two have got nothing on each other. They dont share a border, have no qualms on land etc etc

this noise is all on social media with cowardly middle class who when push comes to shove they put on their thinking caps haraka upesi.

back to reasons why there wont be any clashes..

The only two communities that fight cha ukwela in Kenya are now in a marriage of convenience. If chaos erupts in RV some people will take advantage and this will get uglier for the GoK. Remember the leaflets in.... was it Bomet? (I hope Kamwanas advicers have told him that)

Secondly, CORD has not mobilised any 'armies' and is too poor to do it. they cannot sustain a war for a week. That is fact
The only community that can do that are Somalis and Kikuyus bas!

Thirdly. with the west still baying for influence.. Who in their right mind will go organising youths right now to evict people (Who wants an ICC case)?
If the ICC is a headache for Kamwana and WSR.. sembuse a village MCA?
Lolest!

We agree that we have some underlying issues but we most of the time seem to find a way of navigating across that but I have seen so much chuki raound hii and I would like to ask na hii round ya chuki ilitoka wapi?

1. Skewed appointments favoring top 2 leaders' tribes

2. Uhuru's win in 2013. Another mountaineer deputised by a kale

3. Wounded Raila goes to majuu for 2 month holiday. He leaves behind a divided ODM, where some want to take the party from him. Kasarani debacle. Then intra-Luo rebellion. Kalonzo's people want him kwa debe in 2017.

He returns to a hyped reception popularised by that hash tag and rallies before his return.

Then he comes. He sees himself as Moses who has come back from Midian to liberate the Israelites from Egypt(makabila mawili). He demands dialogue over issues that 'Kenyans' have cried to their saviour Raila about. He gives an ultimatum. His deputy says it's either dialogue or some people will go home

His supporters want him to lead them in storming State House Nairobi after the rally but in his good wisdom stops them.

4.Pro-govt communities take that to mean RAO is sponsored by forces outside the country. Some take to prayer, but counter incitement starts. Some say they'll be ready for that day to battle out with Raila's people.

Raila denies this claim but continues using veiled language to suggest that he is intent on unseating Jubilee

5. Mpeketoni happens. Kikuyu dominated area. One camp sees it as the continuation of Raila's plot to destabilise the country. Arguments, counter arguments.

Let me make a scary comparison. Mpeketoni could end up being our 'Juvenal Habyarimana plane incident' UNLESS we find a way of toning down and reducing temperatures

Juvenal Habyarimana was the president of Rwanda when Tutsi dominated RPF rebels crossed over from Uganda in 1990. By 1994, there were innumerable efforts at peace building but bore no fruit.

Then the plane carrying the President(and Burundi's President) is shot down in the capital. Fighting starts as Hutus accuse the Tutsi RPF of killing Habyarimana-a Muhutu-and the RPF accuse Hutus of killing Habyarimana to get an excuse for starting the Tusti genocide. 800k are killed in 3 months

To this day, it has not been properly established who shot down that plane. Just theories. Like in Mpeketoni

They should just heed the warning and leave to their birth places, they can't kill Kikuyus in Mpeketoni and expect nothing!!!.......my cousin says kesho ni Mbukinya mpaka dala, the leaflet was actually delivered to his doorstep!!!!

In that case, tell him to move from there till things cool down. Kwigita ti gwoya meni.

Why did you have to use Kikuyu in addressing me? NKT.

I bet there will be many safaris across the country!!!

Pole, from where I seat The many Safaris might be to dala only.

Your leaders start something which they do not know how to finish. Now the followers are ssuffering. Some may just have to wait for whstever happens since hata pesa ya kupanda Bukinya hakuna.

Hope some lessons have been learnt.

Yeah right, indeed they will be dala only coz dala exists you know!!!

Big chick...the movement as mcreggae is saying will be both ways. And for sure this is very careless of our leaders and the people behind this nonsense. I work and live in Kisumu and there many people that come from central who live here. Before we sit and write all the nonsense about displacement, there kids in school whose lives will be disturbed...there kids in secondary schools that could also be affected by this nonsense. This is only 'okay' for those who live in 'their areas'. But think of people who are living and working away...

This is totally uncalled for and should only be reserved for those that never went to school. I have Luo friends and live among, should i start now hating them?

The fanatical love they have for their leader is the same we had for Matiba. Which is okay..No one means ill for anyone in Kenya..but the our leaders from both divide wants to believe otherwise

This perpetuated by the leaders..now dialogue has turned to be an issue between Kikuyus and Luo. I have lived in Luoland for more than 10 years and there is alot of misinformation about each other..

Violence begets violence even to the individuals who sponsor and cheer. Case in point, when the Mungiki had done the bidding in Naivasha and Nakuru during PEV they couldn't just go back to being idle, they turned to the people who they were supposed to be protectors of (Mungiki kill villagers in night raid).
So this time round, let us not be excited about the deaths' or evictions of Kenyans you protector might just become your tormentor.
If you stay ready, no need to get ready.
