If indeed the tumzungu were so concerned about attrocities and reconciliation let us start with meeting dying MAU MAU veterans and paying adequate compensation

do you think a country will deny you a visa in your personal capacity to do business because UK chased some diplomats?

disclaimer - THIS IS NOT TO CONDONE THE ACTIONS THAT TOOK PLACE IN ELD.

In the 90s, there were country(ies) you could visit and get a Visa at the entry port. Now even getting a visa from their embassy is a hard nut to crack.

And it all boils down to reputation.

A South African [black] is treated better than a Kenyan out there.Why? REPUTATION.

We start kicking "People" out, our bros and sis in diaspora might start getting some heat,drying the forex remittances.

How good is that?

suck it up my boy! the reason there are visas is to stop people whose sole existence is going to europe.... i have personally have had a number of trips cancelled due to visa but I understand!! I understand that people need to protect their borders from people whose sole purpose of life is getting into their countries and disappearing in there. it has nothing to do with government (maybe a little). did I ever give the story of a certain mzungu man who opened up a refugee centre somewhere in turkana to assist south sudanese? let me give it to you again. This man wanted to help by sending these guys to the US but due to the barkwardness of the south Sudanese he wanted to polish them up abit. teach them toilet manners e.t.c. so he would send his guys into sudan and they would get willing people who would come and after being taught basic hygiene, he would transport them to the US (organize visa and even a place to stay). so he did this for months then realized that the south sudanese he was helping were becoming shorter and lighter!!! he was puzzled but after some investigations he realized that someone had opened up an office in Nairobi and for a fee he would transport people into sudan and then they would come south into kenya as 'south sudanese'... pretend not to know how to use the toilet and get taught. they would also get a visa, passage and accommodation in the US.

AND THAT IS WHY YOU NEED VISAS!!

@Mavenjetebos, haven't you just repeated 'reputation' in many more words? What you've illuminated is
treachery=Bad reputation=visa issues,
in the same light primitive energy of mistreating super powers(for rest assured you slight one, the others turn to defensive mode)=Bad reputation=visa issues, international problems for you and me,
Leaders who won't just follow due process and instead result to trick after trick after trick (mara witness bribery, dragging AU, trying to arm twist UN, primitive energy towards Super powers, motion after motion in ICC etc)=Bad reputation=Visa issues, international problems for you and me

Can't wait for the pair to be jailed.

If the kicking out had happened elsewhere say in Kakamega or Siaya, would the reasoning here be the same!

That aside, my take is that whatever the circumstances, the Eld incident was uncalled for. The County Government officers went overboard. Their actions can not objectively be said to be in the best interest of the people of Kenya.
