I've read through these posts and this is the only post that I could see is the best advice. Kudos @newfarer. @CLK fear God and be natural. I don't know why you ask such a thing in Wazua, but if it is either of the below, then remember: 1. Fun in your holiday e.g. swimming, playing etc then I say take heart, there will be another chance 2. Landing with your husband " Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period." (Leviticus 18:19) 3. Landing with your boyfriend Hebrews 13:4 " Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." Deut 23:2 " No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord." Who are you to imagine that you know more about Christian teachings than people who actually follow Christ? Always (mis)interpreting scripture selectively! Have you heard of the law and the fact that Christ fulfilled it? A woman is no longer considered unclean if she has her period. Are you a Christian @Clown? If yes, are you saying people should land on swampy airstrip, filled with blood and tissue, from womb undergoing natural maintenance? If your answer is no, then leave this to the Christians. Otherwise, let me whre I'm misinterpreting. PLease let me know what you understand by those scriptures. Traditional and natural medicine offers no solution to this problem. Taking a pill/pills to achieve the above intentions may need more therapy to restore balance in the endocrine system. The implications on sexuality and relationships are also interesting.

You really must try and sometimes reign in this temptation to proselytize all the time or jump on your religious soap box to offer advice. That goes for you too @Mukiri. Kenya is secular.

Well, not having visitors, isn't always a cause for alarm. She could have stopped using a birth control method, stopped using Depo, some problems with nutrition, gained or lost weight, exercising too much (Tecla and Ndereba) or she developed cysts in her ovaries. The only problem with this is that a lady will be unable to conceive. But if she needs a baby, there's always IVF and hormone treatment. We needn't be afraid of pills. Actually, 1 in 5 women is on the pill. 99% of sexually active women have used contraception. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Sasa why include me here? Nime do what? I've avoided this thread because its SPECIFICALLY addressed to sockets and doctors, neither of which I am. So Parting shot=>If its secular, then one needs ALL info, on said topic, from all corners INCLUDING religious. Nobody forces anyone to make a decision.

Details please? Sex is about power and politics, and in this case you are after some political effect. This conversation is in a 'danger zone'. To engage further we'll need to abandon some of our most cherished values, and I doubt if it will be pleasant.

While technology is helping us get what we want, I think we must also consider how we arrive at what we want, and perhaps ask ourselves if there are 'ultimate' and shared values, or even how we evaluate what we do. Actions have intentions, and harmony is better than control, for the latter requires a struggle against nature. And 'nature' is a construct imbued with intention. Human intention. So it's not about being scared or not being scared of pills.
