This was the mission of every person sent into the mall-to save the people- RECCE,KDF,etc. And they did not have their brothers in there-it was their call of duty. Again,I am not discrediting what this man has don,but we need to hail everyone who did not chiken out of going into that building and came out alive or dead. You know,we will never get to hear the stories of the soldiers who died, those who braved the sniper and and how they died. Will we?

@Amores, honestly some things cannot be equated.
At what time did Haji and the other four men go into Westgate? and at what time did the KDF, Recce, etc go in?
How many people did Haji and his four friends save and how many did the people who are actually paid to protect them save?
I have a feeling its hard for you to give credit where its due.

@ CLK,please stop personalising this. Ati it is hard for me to give credit? Really? Do you know me? I am just expressing what i think,so no need to go all out, completely ignoring my side of arguement, just because i am not very quick to jump into the band wagon to glorify one man at the expanse of others, and i have given an example of a britonwho was not all in the camera an saved over 100 people- That is a hero too. I have given an example of the man who was taken a picture, with a kid sitting on the AK47,that is a hero too! What do you mean by something cannot be equated?
Anyway, last i engaged you in a discussion, you insulted me,so I think i know you for being trivial and personalising stuff,so tukome hapo sasa.

@Amores, with all due respect I think you need to stop playing the prefect around here. I duly acknowledged the contribution of the other "faceless" heroes you have been moralizing about right in my second post. It's rather presumptuous of you to keep lecturing us about how we should not "glorify one man". There is a reason this thread is about Abdul and if you have read my posts here I have made those reasons clear. Abdul was the first to acknowledge the other men with whom he confronted the enemy. Those too are heroes. Nobody is denying that. Why are you trying to make everyone that unreservedly salutes this man appear unreasonable?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

What is your point?

I thought we are talking about heroes here. People who did what your question is seeking.

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.
