But appointing someone incharge of agriculture, livestock and fisheries in Nairobi does it make sense??? ama no job creation?

Yes, it makes sense if you want to open "new county fish outlets" which you will award to a convenient fish eating diaspora, county government bonds, building contracts, e.t.c, agriculture, livestock and fisheries makes a lot of sense, you can raise levies whilst punishing fresh produce markets, e.t.c don't forget he is a politician. Also if you want a license for fresh produce wakulima market, fish gikomba, selling goats kiamaiko etc, you go straight to particular department.

Plus today almost 40% of veges in Nairobi is planted in Nairobi!!!

What you are referring to here is trade, not agriculture, even the fresh produce @Mc is referring to should not be encouraged as they take away vital fresh water that residents need for sustenance.

I am also curious to know why he set up the ministry of Agric. But knowing Kidero, he will soon explain his reasoning, then we can pass informed judgement.

I like his cabinet profile and support him fully, someone tell UHURUTO to review his pick for Health Secretary and compare with their pick for the same portfolio at the national level.

[quote=harrydre]so far like his cabinet qualificationswise (if such a word exists :) ) apart from Gakuo, I am not familiar with the rest and how their performance would be rated, only time will tell. great Job Kidero.

They have the academic qualifications but most of them lack the relevant academic and experience in the portfolios allocated to them.

Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has
directed the Parking Department to
arrest street boys who charge for
parking space in Nairobi. When giving
the directive, Kidero said the street
boys are "impersonators who collect
parking revenue as though they are
council officers".
Speaking to the Star, the officer-in-
charge of the department Tom Tinega
said he has already put together a
special unit to rid the city of this
menace.
“We have formed a team of ten
officers. They will patrol the Central
Business District and city estates to
ensure no motorist is harassed while
trying to park or exit from designated
parking spaces,” he said.
By yesterday, a total of ten parking
boys had been arrested on various
streets within the Central Business
District and were due to be charged at
the City Court later in the afternoon.
“These boys have become a nuisance.
They harass and vandalise vehicles of
motorists who refuse to comply with
their extortion demands and even
convert public parking spaces into car
wash zones," Tinega said.

Hope those 10 people will also be walking around the city checking ensuring side mirrors and such others are not disappearing. There is so much to be done in Nairobi! I trust City government is able to deliver.
