If you read the article there is no politics involved, besides I doubt if the area MP Okemo is part of the committee.

Mumias lent money to Busia. Busia should pay it back. If not, then handover the security/collateral over. The rest is noise. As for politics, I am sure it is in the picture.

Another candidate with tech readings stating a large move is coming soon. RSI bullish, stochs bearish - mixed signal for now on direction. The only hint to a pending large move is constricting bollinger bands. Wait for confirmation (breakdown or break out).

@ Hisah you believe in technical analysis period. Others read market signals, research on papers and publications, others gut instinct....at the end of its every man to his own method;its a money game at the end of the day.

I combine both techs and fundies. For the stocks I pointed out today I was purely highlighting the tech readings.

I was in Mumias and the milk consumed there comes from Rift valley.Where will Mumias get the raw material for milk?Is the climate there better suited for milk or cane production? Is it diversification really or will fodder if any eat into the scarce sugarcane resource? What will be the plant capacïty?I can tell you PK is looking for ways of eating.

Mumias and Centum are two companies looking for direction; seems the CEOs need an advisory board composed of shareholders.

Milk comes majorly from the so called white highlands, where farmers have tracts of land adequate for growing fodder for their animals;where zero grazing is a profession and not a passion. Thats why major milk producing regions are in Central and Rift Valley. there is milk elsewhere but most of it is for subsistence use.

Unless Mumias wants to start a zero grazing unit in their compound,i DO NOT see this venture being worth it. Instead of focusing on cutting down inefficiencies in preparation for end of comesa they are thinking of diversifying into other areas they have little know how about....

and analysts say this is a 8-10 bob stock,i say not with the current clueless managers and stratergists

Mumias is useless.Despite the cane shortage the management led by former MD purported to sell land in Busia to a rival miller,Kaplony Ltd.Mumias sold mill B to West Kenya which is the mill that currently crushes poached cane.Instead of addressing perennial cane shortages, the company wants farmers to grow thara. What about Tarda?Marketing the much hyped ethanol may be tricky going by the number of vehicles able to run on ethanol blended fuel if any in Kenya.ABK.

No happy days for Kenyan sugar firms
http://www.nation.co.ke/...0/-/2nkmdt/-/index.html

Mumias is screwed.

Reduced cane = Reduced sugar production = Reduced molasses production = Reduced alcohol production = Reduced bagasse production = Reduced electricity production = Reduced profits
