And the prosecutor is not alone. Leaked Kenyan cables published from WikiLeaks provide rich evidence that his concern is of importance. U.S. ambassador Ranneberger provides specific cases which detail intimidation against witnesses, not from ‘trash cans of rumor and gossip sites, rags and blogs’ as Ruto said through his advocate, but from his first-hand experiences(10NAIROBI11):

After the Oscar Foundation murders, post helped four witnesses to relocate to Uganda after they were allegedly threatened by the police. Members of Parliament and their staff who have sought to advance legislation to establish a local tribunal to try suspects implicated in post-election violence have received death threats. One parliamentarian's aide received a text message stating "u better stop associating with him...do you want we start counting your days also" two days before three suspects attempted to kidnap the aide.

And he particularly points out William Ruto, along with Uhuru Kenyatta – the Deputy Prime Minister – as a main political figure who is ‘directing a campaign of intimidation against witnesses’:

As the ICC prepares for potential prosecution of key organizers of the violence, multiple sources indicate that implicated political leaders, notably cabinet ministers William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta, are directing a campaign of intimidation against potential witnesses. … Some NGOs have noted a clear connection between visits by Chief Prosecutor Moreno Ocampo and other ICC officials and subsequent intensifying pressure on witnesses.

Ruto’s participation in post-election violence is also recognized by Assistant Secretary Frazer in cable 08ADDISABABA286, in which she discussed the issue with Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles. Under the category ‘Kenya is in a dangerous position’(paragraph 2 – 11), she flatly told Meles that “William Ruto presents one face to the international community, but then turns and uses the radio to incite violence.” And Prime Minister Meles doesn’t express any surprise to that.

You are right...I have deen reading the posts on the said conspiracy and I was motivatad to post one with a slightly different opinion. I stil don’t quote understand why the thread is generating so much heat, while the leaked documint contents is very clear and straight forward… That we are being scrowed from within and without right on our fery noses!!! The typos in that document are irrelavant. Who says the whete man cannot make typographical mislakes? For your information, the black man’s writing skills in foreign language is more superior to the indigineous speakers of the language.

Me point is that the leaked document which made Britain dispatch a high ranking official in her gavernment to come to Nairobi to talk to our President is authentic, otherwise the Qoeen would not have wasted any time and money over a forged document. The uctions of the Queen by sending the envoy means she thought that we were so smatt or she would want to know how deep our stupidity and ignorance goas

As for the author, there as something that you are not supposet to know in the document. It goes deeper than you read and thank…The authar of the document wanes you to believe and fight over what you are scrapping from the surface while he is laughing and cocking champagne in the background while he/she knows that him/her 99.99% of the content cannot be deciphered…

Very simple!!!!!

@ Kaigangio. It seems that you are a very big embarasment to all your english teachers.
Perhaps you need to go back to school and learn words spellings starting from the two letter word.
Eish this fella really needs help.

This guy knows what he is doing. In my opinion probably the errors are intended. He just want to put across a point that the black man’s writing skills in foreign language can be more superior to the indigenous speakers of the language just like Maranda High topped Kiswahili KCSE paper some time back and they are not native speakers. We could have expected a school in coastal region to do that. d'oh!

Rainingburger was a key rumour monger who would want his rumous to be taken for the truth by ICC. These idiots lie between their teeth without a sweat. See below

¶8. (C) On the other side, Kikuyu vigilantes are also organizing to
defend against attacks or carry out revenge attacks on ethnic rivals.
Many attribute Kikuyu-led violence to the Mungiki, a
well-established Kikuyu criminal organization/religious sect with
deep roots in Kenyan history. However, after engaging in a violent
crime spree last year well before (and unrelated to) the elections,
the Kenyan policy cracked down on the group, reportedly fracturing
its leadership. It is thus unclear whether the Mungiki have in fact
been re-energized and are behind some of the current tensions, or
whether newer groups have formed and ordinary Kenyans simply can't
tell the difference. It's likely both scenarios are playing out, as
the current environment is providing the perfect context for the
rejuvenation of the Mungiki, as well as for the formation of new
groups catering to the large numbers of unemployed, disaffected
Kikuyu youth in Nairobi and elsewhere.

¶9. (S) According to an Embassy source, elements of the
Kikuyu-dominated Party of National Unity (PNU) are backing the
so-called "Forest Guard" militia, which includes Mungiki members and
is being organized and led by retired General H.W. Njoroge, former
Commandant of the National Defense College. Njoroge has reportedly
put pressure on current Kenya Army Commander, Lieutenant General
Augustino Njoroge (no known relation) to release G3 rifles and
provide helicopter support to the Forest Guard. H.W. Njoroge is
allegedly being assisted by retired Brigadier General Peter Ikenya,
who is acting as Chief of Staff for the effort. This movement is
reportedly receiving funding from a number of Kikuyu businessmen,
including a Solomon Karanja and Steven Mbugwa. Mbugwa is said to be
running fund raising and other financial support operations out of
his business Muthaiga, Nairobi.

@Baratang...If you read @Gohill reply, you might understand what i meant. But again for your benefit and to add on the same,@Kaigangio might have wanted to mean, the fact that the document had errors didnt mean its a fake- the opposite is true as well. I believe he/she wrote the thread deliberately with those grammatical errors.
