If the govt had acted properly we would not be having all this nonsense. By acting properly, I mean the majority of the nasa swearing in gang would be in kamiti now facing treason charges, and the rest would be holed up at foreign embassies begging for asylum.....and a few would be floating huko athi river. That is how you deal with treason. Not by handshakes. You crush the dissidents to smithereens. No one should be allowed to joke around with national security. Hata the born-again mo1 had to hang a few after '82. That is how you maintain law and order. Now due to their inaction, govt should be be ready to deal with endless "migoona-odhunga like" shenanigans.

The president under our system of checks and balances has powers under the constitution to grant full pardon. Kazi bure for this judge. The state should not relent border control is one of the key powers of the executive.

There you go, the judge just showed his true color, he can never be objective on the matter. The state cannot execute a court order on a person who is "not in Kenya in their Jurisdiction". If Miguna doesnt comply by immigration rules tomorrow, he's going to be in for a very long time.
They can appeal their sentencing.
What sentencing? What police station, cell, or hole is Miguna held and by who? Miguna just locked himself in the toilet at JKIA, only he can set himself free
Murchr, maybe a lawyer can explain to you what being sentenced means to a person. Whether they go to court kesho or not, they will have been found guilty of a crime. Whether Miguna is shipped tonight in Emirates, these three shall have been found guilty of a crime. Whether they are arrested or not, they shall have been found guilty of a crime. Only time can help them. Once the time period expires they shall pay for this crime. Maybe a lawyer can explain that better to you. Meanwhile, Miguna will be in Canada and have the legal basis to sue not only the country for his illegal detention but also these people individually. My fren siku za kanu miaka mia moja karibu kuisha.
this. individual/personal responsibility removed from the state is what would bring this impunity to heel. imagine if damages is awarded against them when they are no longer in power or close to it. like, martha karua was once very powerful - good thing is she was never in contempt of the court.

Salamander noise! So sad that at this digital era you're struggling to graduate from stone age mentality.

Their problem is that they were probably getting legal advise from Wazua fake profiles. So today, these fellas will be working to get paid. In the hope that they make money. Then one day very soon, Miguna or his children shall come to relieve them of that money. You know the tragedy of this story is that they are probably getting legal advise from the same people who got them here in the first place. I personally would not listen to any legal advise from hardwood or murchr. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Sad.

How can a person commit a capital crime against the state and then state officers are the ones being threatened with jail. What kind of logic is this? This is like jailing a rape victim because she did not respect the rights of the rapist after the rape. The judiciary needs to do some serious soul searching.

They could also get advice from Putin and work discreetly - some polonium or nerve gas.

Here go some other policemen. Now these are juniors and they still haven't read the court ruling. It's like you can't write this stuff up. They go ahead and rough up Orengo and co at JKIA. Guess who's going to be mentioned INDIVIDUALLY tommorow for going against court orders? Some corporal who can't afford a lawyer. You know you can't make this stuff up.
