This stock is really blowing up even after the 15% drop in interest income. Plus with the restated values the subsidiaries outside Kenya had a drop of 10% in interest income.

U really dont get it do u?

Most people thought that the interest rate caps spelt doom for banks and profits were expected to decline over 60-80% and hence the dive in prices. Even at a 6 eps this stock is extremely cheap at 36bob thats only a PE of 6!

Yes..37-42 will be a resistance point..

When is the peer releasing Q1 17 ?

Peer?

EQUITY

Peer group-Companies that operate in the same industry sector and are of similar size.In the market they compete price wise

So KCB is currently at a trailing PE of 5.7 vs EQUITY a PE of 7.8. So using only that metric KCB has quite a bit of catching up to do even at these market conditions. Only that EQTY has more of a dazzle factor than KCB not necessarily a better business

Having said that just because KCB has a better than expected Q1 and that its prices are going up, it shouldnt translate to better fortunes for EQTY on that.

For the first time ever my stock portfolio is in deep in the black thanks to KCB & Safaricom. Was caught out during the last rally when KCB went up to 60, but thanks to the lessons learnt here I stocked up heavily when it was in the doldrums average buying price 28..
