Universal suffrage just like it's attendant catch phrases if democracy and human rights are the valves that serve to restrain Africa's development to its full potential beside our own subscription to attendant imperialist and malignant dictatorship. Look to Bolshevic and Maoist revolutions and even pre 1945 USA on how to leap forward without suffrage for all.

Sonko was sworn in sometimes in September last year. Still on probation. Let us give him time & the benefit of doubt!!!

Try not to be taken in by propaganda. There were no leaps in China or Russia.

Hence the argument fails.

There was nothing but mass murder and starvation in the Bolshevik and Maoist revolutions. Stupid experimentation with disastrous results. Africa's development potential has not been realized in the last 10,000 years with or without universal suffrage.

Most organisations have 6 months probation. How long do you propose his probation to be?

In what way is Nairobi county similar to most organizations?

I think we need to be very open minded and willing to take a proactive approach that also chooses the 'let's work with the leaders we have' approach.

That way, we'll save time and resources.

Wate Wangu syndrome

As long as any city has hawkers in the doorsteps of banks and beggars with their whole clan, you will continue waiting.

Sonko has failed and there's no need to wait for the results. They are there for all to see.

Give this watu wangu guy another six months and hawkers shall be at KICC and he shall still have his rescue team with findio removing trash at night.

Tycho, it's also ok to admit that you made a mistake 5 months ago. Admitting mistakes makes a man grow stronger.

Public institutions are a different animal. It takes a while to change systems in gava. Probation should be 1.5 years

Me thinks these guys are setting up Sonko to fail because of his lone-ranger approach. He is street smart but you need the other smarts more to run a city... If he doesn't play ball soon with the Jubilee heads, he will be lucky to survive impeachment leave alone re-election in 2022.

BBI will solve it
