Anybody who has boxed before or at least followed boxing for a very long time, will definately appreciate the beautiful art of fighting ,that Mayweather exhibits. He is probably the finest human being ever ,to put on a boxing glove. I have no words to describe him. He is better than Tyson, better than Evander, better than sugar ray, better than Lewis. He is in his own class. He is a Genius. Not even pacman could decode his shoulder roll defence. The best ever.

I will never watch another boxing match ever. If you want to see a fight watch UFC and even then it gets tiring really fast. Mayweather is like the Greek team than won Euro 2004.....He plays the rules of the game but nobody will want to remember any of his fights. He is a smart salesman for talking the world into paying him $200m for an entertainment piece of s**t. Unfortunately for him his talk has no cause like Ali's and even for entertainment value he does not come close. I will stick to watching athletics and marathons, there is no hype there, just tough humble people toiling away, I can learn something from that..... Done with rant..

Laughable rant here. FM's record of 48-0 speaks for itself. He has beaten each and every fighter that came his way. If entertainment is valued in $ terms then he is the best at it. Throwing many wild punches in the hope of hitting your oppo is a bar brawl not boxing. Winning within the rules is all that matters and defence is within the rules. Infact 'defend yourself' is a mandatory ref instruction.

I know its difficult for house wives and curious folk tuning into the fight due to the hype to digest the principles but boxing is an art, not a bar brawl.

Mayweather made it a science, not an art...

What was great about Tyson? Tyson would depend entirely on nothing but brute force. After 6 rounds ,Tyson's legs would not carry him anymore When the likes of Lewis discovered this, they would drag the fight and in the later rounds they would start to punish him. Holyfield was average, am sorry to write this. Sugar Ray is the only one,who comes close to Mayweather. However, his tactic mirrors that of pacman and Yesterday, we saw how Pacman was made to look ordinary. At the age of 38 none of those boxers would compete effectively anymore like Floyd. But we saw how Mayweather uses his footwork jana and not to mention the precsion of his throws

To the curious onlookers and housewives. This was not just another match, it was billed as 'the match of the century' for a reason. It pitted 2 of the best ever pound for pound fighters of their generation, to get here, FM and MP had to fight for accumulated 40 years against some extremely gifted oppos. During this fights we purists watched without the help of the curious public and housewives. Some of those bouts had mismatches that resulted in spectacular knockouts and entertainment that some here expected. We purists enjoyed it all but also prepared us for this fight. Knowing very well that this fight would be about legacy and nothing else.

FM was fighting MP both expert pugilists and expecting the fight to be loose and entertaining is naive. Boxing has never been a mainstream sport and that will never change. Occasionally there will be fighters like Ali, Tyson and FM who bring the game to centre stage but thats an anomaly.

Cant even make 'The Fight of The Month'. If you were a purist, you'd be very disappointed. The fight will not be recognized as a great fight. Sorry.

After the fight, Mayweather said he has lost interest in boxing, he no longer watches boxing and does not even know who the other top fighters in other weight divisions are.

The fight was extremely underwhelming all thanks to Mayweather, hata afadhali the 91 exciting seconds Tyson used to give fans.

The first two posts by @Freiks (On boring part) and @Mcreggae (On how it will be won) were on point. The match was as IronMike put it underwhelming to say the least; Its not something I personally anticipated after waiting of the much hyped bout.Would want to respect FullyKenya's opinion but.....nah
