Not sure about this but the squatters were given leases by Mombasa county, they are to pay 182,000/- within 12 years, with a grace period of 3 years,in short they have been asked to pay around 1,500/- per month, on the land rates, most leases state that will be payable when demanded, now I don't know why anyone would fail to work hard for a buloti of 1,500/- a month in an urban area,and with Dongo Kundu coming soon that area will be hot cake, if they don't want it let them sell the rights and go squat elsewhere, one mama saying that 1,500/- is too much was saying so with a samsung s6 edge in hand, how now.
