Loving the dividends. May, June and July shall produce a bounty of dividends. Banks, Insurance firms, BAT, etc Then a dry spell until late in the year. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Then a dry spell until late in the year. Great indeed, a bounty of dividends highly welcomed. Also steep drops after book closure means an opportunity to load more I am mostly worried of this WHT increase to 15% plan

ABSA xd StanChart xd Stanbic cd And others yielding 11%+ which is better than 364-day T-Bills Even KenyaRe is yielding 11% but that is riskier than the foreign banks. Greedy when others are fearful. And remember dividend receivers are various. From owners of shares in listed companies but also those in SACCOs. The Government had better tread carefully.

Others that I expect will pay by Dec include Centum, WTK/KTC and CARB Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Safaricom dividend on a serious downtrend. Upon discussion at the exchange bar, I change my mind and will not purchase right now. Will sit it out, as further falls in the price are expected starting today. KES 12 is GUARANTEED within next 5 trading days.. The current share price of Safaricom Plc (SCOM) is KES 14.70. SCOM closed its last trading day (Thursday, May 11, 2023) at 14.70 KES per share on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), recording a 3.9% drop from its previous closing price of 15.30 KES. Safaricom began the year with a share price of 24.15 KES but has since lost 39.1% off that price valuation, ranking it 61st on the NSE in terms of year-to-date performance. Shareholders’ worries are compounded by the fact that SCOM has lost 20% of the stock’s value from April 11th to date. HF 30,000 ABP 3.49; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45
