1. Buy out is a mere recommendation by parliament after they rejected PIIP. Nothing concrete.
2. No timelines given for the proposal. It might turn out an infinitum wait like Christians' wait for second coming of Christ.
3. No assurance that buy out will be at Kshs 8.52 for minority shareholders. KQLC did a conditional conversion on agreed terms. Not so with minority shareholders.
4. Too big to fail is a fallacy. Point number 3 is spot on

KQ will be nationalised by 2020....I also believe Gava will bid higher...KES8.52 is just a guideline...could be high as KES15...although KES23 could make @obiero extremely happy...KQ is my signature contrarian play...just minor profit taking and then the stock will rally again...

Given that optimism, I think you should buy out as many of KQLC's shares. Talk to @obiero and his friends at the Exchange Bar. Greedy when others are fearful. It appeared so because he copy pasted direct from the gazette notice and never bothered to counter check. "Using aircraft types B777, B787, B737,E170,E190, E145 and DHC8 based at Jomo Kenyatta, Moi, Kisumu and Eldoret International airports." Reads the gazette notice. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.
