No demos on poll day in Turkana - Nanok.

Nanok wrote:
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders in Turkana County defied the call for mega demonstrations across the country on October 26.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and Turkana Central MP John Lodepe said there will be no demonstrations in Lodwar on Election Day.

Mr Nanok urged residents to maintain peace asking them not to be incited by political leaders to turn against each other.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr (Raila) Odinga should put the country first and negotiate so that there is peace in the country,” said the governor.

Desperate Nasa (and baba) now beseech their witches and wizards to unleash black magic (urogi) to stop 26/10 elections.

I foresee Raila telling his supporters that he has not officially withdrawn reason being this is the only way he'll be able to petition the court to nullify the election due to rigging. He'll tell them to remain peaceful and that this action is necessary to gather evidence on election day on planned electoral malpractices

From my own observation, naswa aren't participating (though name will remain on ballot coz kalooser wont accept total withdrawal). The main reason I believe this is the case is that they are not deploying any agents. The strategy he is planning to deploy, and you can take that to the bank, is to try and ensure there is no voting in as many polling stations as possible, and possibly whole constituences in his strongholds. Even if he preaches peace on national tv, do not be deceived, this is purely due to fear of icc and international sanctions. You never know what he is telling his footsoldiers on the ground at night. Depending on how 'successiful' he is in this dark evil plan, he will the go to court and say resullts are not valid coz there were no elections in some polling stations, and / or constituencies, due to.. 'irregularities' hence the results do not reflect the will of the people and entire election should be nullified. Only in Kenya you disrupt elections and then go to court and ask the court to nullify because of the irregularities you yourself created.

Actually since naswa have said there will be no elections in nyanza on 26th, if I was iebc I would grant them this wish. Then ask govt to allow them demonstrate all day as they have requested. Iebc has power to postpone elections in regions where it is not conducive to hold polls

Also, what is this announcement that he can only make on the 25th and not now?

It's good to keep polling stations open and whoever wants to vote for Duda, Ekuru etc can vote. I guess their only problem is with UMK.

If I was govt or iebc i would publicly challenge him to say whatever he has to say now...question is whether he wants to catch security agents off guard... yet govt need to know so they can plan for safety and security of everyone including himself.. Otherwise he would be held responsible for whatever happens on election day arising from his utterance's

I think they have problem voting on umk birthdayLaughing out loudly . It is not too much to ask to postpone..in any case, the leaders in these regions have said categorically there will be no election in their region on that day. Why insist yo hold it on that same day when you can postpone
