US to withdraw from the United nations Human Rights Council. They are fed up with the body....

Quote:
The United States is considering withdrawing from the United Nations body on human rights.
Highlighting what it deemed a 'biased' stance on Israel, UN ambassador Nikki Haley said the US was 'looking carefully' at its role on the Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
'The United States is looking carefully at this Council and our participation in it,' Haley told the Geneva forum in her first address. 'We see some areas for significant strengthening.'
She said it was 'hard to accept' five resolutions had been passed against Israel, a US ally

Donald Trump has not hosted an iftar dinner during Ramadan, breaking a nearly 20-year tradition.

Despite events held by previous administrations from across the political divide, this year’s Ramadan – which began on 26 May – passed nearly unobserved by the White House.

George W Bush held an iftar dinner every year of his two terms, including just after the 9/11 terror attacks of September 2001.

President Barack Obama hosted his first Ramadan dinner in 2009, and subsequently every year of his presidency.

I kinder agree with Trump on this, he is not a Muslim, he does not need to host Iftar (whatever it means), plus I am sure the King of Saudi Arabia does not decorate any trees during christmas

Good for Trump for not kissing Islam ass. Like Obi says, he is not muslim so why would he host whatever they are saying he didn't host? They don't host Christmas dinner in Saudi Arabia, do they? Sometimes i think world leaders pander to Islam because they are scared of antagonizing them into their irrational extremist madness when they feel slighted. Trump might be a dickhead president but at least he is not pretentious. Let's keep it real sometimes.

Trump is their anti-dote.
Every cloud with its silver lining.
Just as absolute power corrupts leaders, so does absolute fanaticism blind the people from logic
