Anyone heard the remarks made by Kiraitu when they were commissioning the wind power generators at Ngong ? While Eddy was trying to explain the likely steps they were going to take to cushion consumers, Kiraitu was quick to say they will bring back the independent power producers. We all remember the high bills we had to pay last time these IPPs were around. The truth of the matter is Kiraitu is a big beneficiary of this arrangement. No politics here. I would have expected him to spell out the long term measures the goverment is taking to avoid IPP. This man has emerged as one of the richest guys around in the last 5yrs.
