IF KQ was well run, it's investors would be making capital gains like their American countetparts

The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

This oil boom will just cushion kq from making further severe losses but returning to profitability is a long journey,I will however not be surprised if unfounded optimism drives the share to new unseen highs in recent days

If they hedged then no help, this would be the perfect time to draw up those 5-15 year contracts

The problem is that no one knows where the price of crude will head from its current price.. Hedging for KQ isnt good business, in my opinion

Gasp! No! Your friend Alex Wainaina (who makes 30mn+/year) says KQ is smarter than the guys selling them the hedges. d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! ... He thinks he is smarter than Tim Clark of Emirates which doesn't hedge.

Traders requested a ticketing office at Tea Room? Unless it is a cargo centre, they can't walk to Barclay's Plaza to buy a ticket? And how many traders are these to warrant an office?
Let us assume a basic office. Rent 20k, manager 100k, 3 x clerks 100k, cleaner 10k, utilities 20k, total 250k. The office needs to generate 250k per month to cover fixed costs. Kwani hawo watu wa Luthuli wanaleta nini?

Hapo Luthuli kuna pesa mingi.. Na Kamukunji, River Road. Most of the shops there make more money than ordinary office workers at banks, law firms etc.. The downtownians actually travel alot too, to Dubai, China etc
