what is your take on the method of construction used at Yaya parking where ready made slabs and beams are brought to site?

@mawinder..any pics? This sounds like reinforced concrete prefabrication. Butterfly properties/Spinners n Spinners, located in Ruiru have the machines to make prefab concrete which they use on their construction projects.

Interesting to see how they are doing the foundation at the Garden City mall, Thika rd. They leveled the ground, drilled holes and put the pillars/columns.

The slate stone between machakos and kitui is thicker than the usual and not very uniform. Its good for heavy commercial road works since it cant break easily. There is a black mazeras version from tanzania which is very thin and comes out well when used as a wall covering.

On a different issue, i'm perplexed by a building being brought down at State house crescent which is 12 storeys and appears to have been built with bricks and no "concrete columns"? Wondering how this is possible and was thinking walking around bwana a4architect you could check it out and clear my doubts.

@a4architect can you advise on a suitable source of finance for a building project, i have already began the project and done with the ground floor all that awaits is for lay the slab for the first floor, i tried looking for financing from Family Bank however i found their interest to be steep at 22%, could you kindly advise on a cheaper source of financing.
