The 1990 team was supposed to be Colombia's golden generation with players like Valderamma, Rincon and Andres Escobar. That was back when Colombian clubs were financed by drug barons. But their play was to slow, too deliberate, predictable and easily countered.

But this year's Colmbia team is much better. The best Colombian team I have ever seem,=. They should at least reach the semis.

As for Brazil, they are simply poor. Neymar is over-rated and a ball hog.

My thoughts exactly about Neymar

So Harambee stars went to watch Ghana play Portugal, at a time Ghana had threatened not to play over unpaid dues, and only played after their money arrived in cash??

What a great learning experience.....FIFA is planning to introduce payment commitment guarantees in future to avoid embarrassment.

World Cup ina wenyewe.

Colombia has done well but I suspect Brazil will somehow manage to roll over them. That near death encounter against Chile was the wake up call.

I believe a Brazil-Argentina final is on the cards.

I very much doubt that will be the lineup on the final.
Colombia need to smash Brazil in open play this Friday. Hii penalties is too much like coin tosses, bahati na sibu, for my comfort. Brazil's magic is gone. The Chile exit stung, and the freebie penalty against Croatia still rankles. They are not underdogs and I hate to see them scrapping by on luck as better teams fall. They need to be booted out this tournament pronto.
Meanwhile, Argentina hasn't been properly tested yet. Interesting times ahead.

Neymar is good...Maybe Brazil should start with Jo rather than Fred,I dont even know why Fred plays he is bogus...

The main undoing for phil is his blind faith in fred and jo - both are not good enough, especially fred - I think ronaldinho and/or kaka would have provided better cover especially in the last minutes of a game ka ya jana.

but against south american teams, brazil will just have that extra psychological edge.

The Niggers can't trust (and should not) the federations at all.

From our very own Mungai Kihhanyasmile
Quote:
Mexico with a goal ratio of 4 will beat Netherlands (3.33); Costa Rica (4) will defeat Greece (0.5); France (4) will win against Nigeria (1); and Argentina (2) will defeat Switzerland (1.17).

Netherlands play today so far has been lethargic, Dirk Kuyt is playing with his back to the mexican goal with 70% of his crosses seemingly backwards. Sneidjer is nowhere..... #TeamOranje

Hiyo ya Wesley Sneider is what we used to call in praimo Kuvuta Nduki ama kuvuta dabbo.

But what you do not see is the technical text book execution of that shot. Head over the ball to prevent it from skying high then use your laces to whack the ball.
