Maybe Raila is not a liar. We are just confused as to what is true or not.!!! But what I am sure about is dat hez a bit looney. Say for instance, former president mon licks you up for years on end for trying to overthrow him. When you chuck from detention, you form NDP and then merge with KANU.......just to get into power. How can a jew join the nazis unless ofcourse he was a fake jew to begin with??? just sayn!

The sacking of Miguna triggered a tirade of words accusing the PM of being anti-change and a leader who could not be trusted.

He was reinstated in December last year but declined to take up the job claiming that it was meant to stop him from publishing a damning book on the PM. (READ: Miguna declines job recall)

Mr Corsi said the book contains dozens of anecdotes of Mr Odinga’s alleged failings, including accusations of corruption and witchcraft.

Watched who owns Kenya last night. PM own part of Bakri Int Kenya which supplies crude worth about US$0.5b a year. At this rate, this guy will be many times richer than Moi.

A damaging book on Prime Minister Raila Odinga by a former adviser is in the hands of an extremist right-wing American writer who was deported from Kenya four years ago.

Mr Jerome Corsi reported late last week on the website of conservative publishing firm WorldNetDaily (WND) that he had the “devastating” manuscript from Mr Miguna Miguna, which he claimed would threaten Mr Odinga’s presidential election prospects.

Mr Corsi is the author of the scurrilous right-wing treatise, The Obama Nation. He has made a career of feeding American racist and right-wing propaganda about President Barrack Obama and his Kenyan links.

Contacted by the Nation, Mr Miguna, confirmed on Sunday that his manuscript is with Corsi.

Look closely between the lips opening. What do you expect is likely to emerge from there?

Nor, contrary to current claims, was there ever any agreement between the “Yes” and “No” groups that the draft Constitution was flawed, and the only difference was that the “Yes” group wanted to change it after its passage, while the “No” group wanted to change it before. That is an attempt to rewrite history.

We in the “Yes” group never believed the Constitution was flawed. We believed it reflected what Kenyans had asked for.

We never planned to amend it – even if no Constitution is perfect, and ours, like any other, might require finessing over time.

The fundamental point of departure between us and the “No” group was that we believed in the draft new Constitution, and they did not.

“Odinga knows his chances of being elected president are dramatically reduced if Miguna’s book is published before this year’s presidential election in Kenya,” Corsi said. “Miguna presents a convincing portrait of Odinga as a ‘political conman’ whose term as prime minister has been riddled by family favoritism, massive corruption, sexual abuses, and public policy incompetence.”

The worst part is

Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga – who Barack Obama helped place in office in a power-sharing agreement to stop deadly rioting by Odinga’s followers ....

Deadly rioting by Odinga's followers.

Prime Minister Raila Odinga says Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto should be arrested for using “prayer” rallies to fuel sentiment against their prosecution at the International Criminal Court.

Mr Odinga said it was improper that individuals who have been indicted on charges that they sponsored the 2007/8 violence that claimed more than 1,000 lives were operating as free men.

Crimes against humanity are worse than murder. Yet these suspects of crimes against humanity remain free to traverse the country holding ‘prayer meetings’ – while Kenyan suspects of the lesser crime of murder conduct their prayers only behind the forbidding walls of Kamiti Maximum

Is it true that crimes against humanity are worse than murder?

RAO should start by apologising to Kenyans for lying that he wasn't consulted. Yesterday he owned up to the fact that he was indeed consulted and names were discussed towards the end of last year. The disagreement was due to the fact that both principals had proposed their tribesmen for the CJ post only for MK to name a neutral later on.

Spot on. And a neutral would be much better for this country. If they did consult but did not have an issue with the AG, DPP or CoB, why would a neutral be the issue? I approve of MK's decision. Hope Marende will not be caught up in ODMs (RAO's wing) wave because of the lies we've been subjected to.

Simply unbelievable. I used to assume the liar label was due to hate by non luo guys, but this one has struck me hard.

Over the Weekend.

Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Sunday maintained that December 17 would be the date for the next general election.

Mr Odinga said the date had been settled upon by the cabinet, having considered several issues that will be interfered with should elections be held in August as stipulated in the constitution.

Yesterday

Meanwhile, President Kibaki and Mr Odinga have never met to discuss the dissolution of the coalition government to set the stage for an election date, it emerged on Monday.

Sources said the President rejected an attempt by the PM to have the matter discussed in the Cabinet on grounds that the court had already ruled on the issue.

It also emerged that the government was yet to decide on whether to withdraw the Bill seeking to amend the Constitution and fix the election date on the third Monday of December in the fifth year.

Justice and Constitutional Affairs minister Mutula Kilonzo confirmed that the matter arose during the February 16 Cabinet meeting.

Further

He added that this was a day after the PM told MPs in Parliament that they would decide on the date of the election because the matter was “too important” to be left to the discretion of him and the President.

“Since the court had already ruled on the issue, the President was of the opinion that the government should be guided by the court ruling, a position that was upheld by the Cabinet and was communicated to the public in the Cabinet brief that day,” said Mr Kilonzo.

A PPS brief on February 16 stated “Cabinet also resolved that the government will be guided by the court decision that ruled on the election date. Cabinet noted that the issue of the election date must be guided by the country’s level of preparedness, for a date that will guarantee a free, fair and credible election that sets the country on a path of transformation.”

Mr Odinga, during the PM’s question time in Parliament had also said that due to the expectations of Kenyans that the process be democratic, it was important that MPs be involved in setting the election date.

“We feel the election is too important to be left to the discretion of the principals but should involve the National Assembly. As such, we will be bringing a Bill to this House so that members can debate and participate in fixing the date of elections once and for all,” Mr Odinga said on February 15.
