I would not write off Germany as yet! Mexico was extremely lucky!
Portugal and Spain played very well. France was lucky while Belgium played a weaker side..I expected more. Argentina is nothing without Messi. England and Russia look promising. Brazil haven't settled well with Neymar looking for every opportunity to draw a foul.

Mexico lucky?!
They squandered so many chances! Should have won by bigger margin.

Wachana na static stats, to the naked eye that watched the game Mexico should have scored at least 2 more goals. There is no clear cut chance that Germany squandered or some great save by Mexico goalie!!!

Those were too many chances! I would only agree that Mexico was lucky if we're basing it on the weakness of the Germans

The Germans especially in first half were just waiting for the ball like Ozil does. Lazily following the Mexicans.

Still early days!

Spain lost the opening match to Switzerland but still won the World Cup in 2010.

Argentina lost 0-1 to Cameroon and drew with Romania in group stages but still went all the way to 1990 final.

True, still early days. It helps to take some of these "easy" points though...

Argie wamepewa kichapo maalum. Three strokes of the cane.

In hindsight this is not surprising since they struggled to qualify. We should have seen this coming.

Messi in Argentina hawesmake. All those debates about whether he is better than Maradona kwisha.

In the Argentina jersey you can even make the case that he is not among the top 3 players.

Maradona, Kempes, Cannigia, Batistuta et al are better.

Argentina should really not have qualified. Great players, poor team!

I wouldn't be surprised if Nigerian get a draw against them.
