It is time we stopped putting spins on every death! People die of so many causes and it's not like every senior or well known person is taken out. If there was a reliable ambulance system in the coounty, maybe the good general would still be alive.I read that his house is only 2km from Karen hospital, but then i wonder, why his family did not immediately rush him to hospital. Alot of ignorance from our people. Wacha ujinga. His wife and body guards immediately rushed him to hospital after he collapsed but he was already dead when they arrived. Do you have to hurl abuses ama ni makamasi you have in your head.... i read that, the wife first called Boinett and his deputy, before deciding to take him to hospital. You just don´t die immedieately from a heart attack and the hospital being 2 km away, am sure had they reacted fast, he would be alive today... by the way Hardwood, you sound like those majamaa we used to refer to them as fala mangaa Probably the Maa + the General in him showed strength on the face, while the body was giving in. If this was the case,I would ask whether Boinett is a Dr..?Wasting valuable time. Another one is whether a heart artery suddenly narrows..I believe the annual/routine checkup should detect that and corrective measures taken(Who was his personal physician?).and the Maa ppl consume herbs which sort these kinds of pbms(cholesterol)? Fullykenyan wrote:This is however not everyone, first consult your doctor before deciding to use asprins as a prevention measure I find it funny how with every death ordinary people always know what could have prevented the death. Siku yako ikifika, imefika. If you like aspirin wewe kunywa aspirin but do not lie to yourself it is for preventing death. Just live your life. I remember the case of Dalmas Otieno's son who was a student in Canada. One day he was just walking to school listening to his music on his earphones then ....... a helicopter fell on him and he died. The number of "if onlys" on that were a million. If only he was not listening to music, if only he was not walking etc. As the late Father Pampillon of Strathmore College used to say, "spend at least one minute every day contemplating your own death because if there is one thing I can promise you it is this, you will all die." RIP General. I once ran a half marathon with the General at Lewa and I remember thinking. "I want to be as fit as this guy at his age". Peeople have also commented how fit GG was and yet even he is gone at 79. I have never heard of Moi going to the gym and he is still going strong at 93. Mama Ngina is 84 or more and still going. This longevity thing is the one thing that is all in Gods hands, just enjoy the time you get.

It is not just about going to the gym, when you are in an upbeat mood, but rather reducing your stress levels when they are high. This is more effective in my opinion. Joining a local boxing gym can go a long way to reduce your stress levels. You dont need to box, just hit the bag for like an hour and circuit train to compliment that. This helps to reduce stress levels massively. By the way, i forgot, there are no social halls anymore in nairobi, where people just meet for training, right? then demand your governor to build new ones.
