Infact we save gave alot of money by taking kids to 'private' schools but they still pee on us during selection to secondary schools and now!!! Useless Formal education will make you a living. Remember mobs storming schools chanting "No Raila, No School". Would you like such angry mobs with kids in public schs to storm the class where your kid is studying? Or they stone the school bus as it ferries your kid home from sch? This is not the 1st strike by teachers in Kenya but this is the 1st time some fool has decided to close private schools, useless!!!!! The govt should provide security... possunt quia posse videntur

Education should be devolved to the counties, just like health and agriculture, so that teachers are paid huko mashinani. National govt should only handle exams and policy/regulations.

Relax guys, the school calendar is what has been changed. The kids may stay home for a month, the teachers issues will be sorted and agreed upon and a new opening day will be announced. It could be 1st of Nov, who knows. They will be in school till Jan, go for a week break and continue and life continues. *Personal Opinion*
