I am waiting to see the amendments that have been proposed. I am confident the contentious issues will be sorted. I also hope MPs could sit and correct the problems in parliament where they are empowered to do so.

The Pakistani press and the International media have not published photos of beheaded children Applause Applause

Kenyan papers would have been awash with such photos...under the guise of media freedom. That is why I support the Security Bill.

Please Kollabo and take your time.

Quote the law in those "other" countries that stops the publication of Gory pictures.

I will be waiting patiently.

You support a law because it doesn't allow publishing "gory" pictures? I personally believe some Kenyan politicians have "gory" faces. Maybe we should start with them.

Even porn is gory. Maybe I can help your boss stop you from going to your favorite porn site on his dime. But heck its very legal in the US. Very gory porn I can assure you.

I'm still waiting for that law in the US that talsk about publishing gory pictures.

Just because you don't see it on CNN doesn't mean that you can't find it. And just because you can't find it doesn't mean that I declare you as someone who can't find stuff.

Still waiting on the law on gory pictures that this law will be relying upon.

I have 2 more days of freedom, I will try to enjoy it to the maximum.

And if you need a link to the pakistani photos, ask nicely.

Don't compare moral behavior to my freedoms enshrined in the constitution.

I don't need a link to gory photos boss. Enjoy your constitutional freedom and stare at them if that makes you happy.

I support the security bill because the rights of many who don't enjoy those photos are also enshrined in the constitution.

@kollabo do not ever underestimate the power of the Moi era narrative. It makes people cringe with fear.

Now I want to hazard a guess, that the particular amendment you like so much will be reworded to make more sense and not lead me to be arrested by a nut case who believes gory means mama yake.

There will be a serious workload for whoever came up with the wordings on certain sections of this bill. If they don't then I can see long court battles that will ultimately lead to the end of the whole bill.

That fear of Raira will become real because this time he will have a narrative that all his supporters believe in and his haters like me will agree with. Tread carefully.

It's rather unfortunate that such a great piece of legislation was hijacked by a certain group of people.

There are some sections in that bill that are just great.

Others seem to have been added by someone who thought that he will be in government until Jesus comes. Those are the ones that have got to go.

And I'm still waiting for your legislation on "gory" pictures that you are quoting this law on from somewhere around the world.

Mambo ya Moi error hatutaki tena.

For once, I think the opposition has some very valid points.
Even wanting to dictate who/when the head of police or NIS comes and goes is a problem because that should be left to an independent body.

Its not about Uhuru, but potential future dictators.

There is only one reason to talk about gory pictures. That's to muzzle the press from posting cock ups by the executive.

Ati international papers don't post victims of terror attacks? I'm still waiting for that international law.

Ati they don't post pictures of dead bodies. They post injured, dying, and dead people too. Here is a sample

Talk to media houses about ethical standards not create funny laws. But if most politicians bribe their way to the front page with our Kenyan media, how do they expect to get ethical behavior.

Stop lying to Kenyans at least this December. Enough of it to be honest.

Is one paper enough to justify your assertions? Are those dead people? More importantly are they British?

I thought yesterday your people said international newspapers don't post dead bodies and terror victims.

Murchr, please don't spread another lie. Do you want more links from other media?

I'm just being nice here. There are pictures of dead children inside their coffins. Just ask REUTERS to give you a sample.

This reminds me of the other law guys wanted to come up with based on the lie that Americans don't use cash in buses.

Don't create a law based on lying to citizens. That is already an example of having ulterior motives.
