Clearly, an Egypt is being attempted. I wonder who is funding this. They must be people who don't understand Kenya. Here, the small nations within the greater nation rule. The moment one sub nation is deemed to be taking the meat off another's mouth, ethnic tensions are bound to rise. 2007 may be child's play

Its not about engaging as such but voicing your stand on the issue. The "insults" have never stopped you before but then again its a clear show of condemnation and anger at what your babu is driving this country to. We all know when the shit hits the fan you will come here and say he was just calling for rallies and therefore not responsible for the aftermath (sound familiar), same script! Tell babu to wait for his time if it ever comes coz what he is thinking cant work in Kenya.

Any time our economy is ready for real take-off – 82, 2002, 2007, this man has done things that almost took us to the precipice. Are the new activities aimed at curtailing our economic growth (which has been on upward trend) again so someone can have a reason to throw out government? It would be impossible to beat uhuruto in 2017 if economy is thriving?
By conservative estimates, I have worked out that when you factor multiplier effects, this heightened political activity by aliar will shave 2% off our GDP at the bare minimum, that’s if the country does not disintegrate. Factor the cost of everyone not going to work for just 1 day. And it will take us 5+ years to get back on course. I wonder why Uhuruto are not bringing facts and figures to counter this aliar and ensure he does not win his arguments in the hearts of any Kenyan.

?Yes agreed raila has serious experience.

For a man approaching his 70′s, & 80′s and with an impressive 39 years political experience I cannot doubt.

That is why am saying Let him speak, is someone really opposing that?

He is so experienced that on Monday 7th July 2014, he will be working and is convincing you not to work and instead watch him work

That said when he worked at Kenya Bureau of Standards he was always sick on Monday and off duty. Interesting choice of day…

But let the man speak…how is saying that a bad thing…unless am missing something Yes agreed raila has serious experience. ]

He's responsible for taking Kenya to the dogs, after his abortive '82 coup attempt. They can't even hold peaceful elections in their party, sembuse running a country? Is one person's grred greater than a country?

There is no revolution about to happen here a la Thailand or Egypt. Until Rift Valley substantially crosses over to CORD, the opposition lacks sufficiently committed troops to sustainably execute a revolution. You can quote me on that. If push comes to shove, CORD will assemble its millions and Jubilee will assemble its millions.

The worst that will happen from the rallies is business disruption and a bit of stone-throwing on Saba Saba, then predictably later on Nane Nane then onto Tisa Tisa and Kumi Kumi. In any case, a revolution is not the planned objective here. The idea is to re-enact the 2004-2007 script and create discontented momentum in anticipation of the 2017 presidential elections.

It also serves to make it clear who will be the obvious people's choice of CORD's 2017 presidential candidate just in case Wetangula, Kalonzo, Mutua or Kidero (who have shown presidential ambitions in one form or the other) had any illusions.

Thank you @inairobi for being able to read the script as it should. @kysse, please read the comment by @inairobi, if possible please print for future reference, seems like you are terribly shaken.

Here are a few facts. During moi days, the opposition got all the money they needed through the friendly NGOs to destabilize the govt. Mrs. Wanjiku Kihoro, may God rest her soul, channeled millions to the activism we saw those days.

And yet it was impossible to shake moi who was operating from a politically hostile city with only a handful of his tribesmen around. The threat to march to statehouse was first unleashed by matiba in 1993. Guess some wazuans were not yet born. It never happened. It wont happen on sabasaba.
Remember mageuzi rallies in the 1999/2000 led by orengo, mukhisa kituyi and Hassan Omar then a student leader ?

Finally, Kibaki was weak, UMK is not. Try to think like a senior cord operative planning saba saba events. What would be your chance of succeeding if you attempted to start a revolution in Nairobi. Think about who controls the security machinery, think about the tribal demographics in the city.

A revolution is not the objective here. Its so obvious I thought everyone could see that. Seems like common sense isn't that common.

So some people think it will be business as usual just because their princes have big guns and also have idle soldiers!

A call for mass protest against jubilee will end in bloodshed whether we dig our heads in the sand or not!
