The only body mandated to set the salary and allowances for a state officer is the SRC. Anything else is illegal, or an act of someone who feels charitable and sufficiently philanthropic. Does Githu advice his boss properly?

SRC has organised a National Debate on Wage Bill on Monday, to be opened by the PORK. We should give our ideas here and send one Wazuan to present a memorandum to SRC on Monday.

Everyone knows the top guys in garment are overpaid so it's only fair their salaries are cut. This should include MPs, senators, governors...

However we also know some of the civil servants are underpaid like doctors, teachers...salaries should be seriously reviewed and harmonized all across. Corruption and eating should also continue to be eradicated and of course everyone should work extra harder and passionately in whatever they do always do your best.

anybody opposing these cuts has a hidden agenda.

The salary formula will increase salaries for the lower cadre and reduce for the higher one.
Why should the general earn over 1 million and the soldier earn 15K?
1,000,000 and 15,000??? yet facing the same enemy,the highest paid @ 1000 km and the lowest paid head on!
Please the Head of state peg your salary at 500K and let the stones fall!

Excuse my being blunt but why is it that only the Luo analysts have an issue with this paycut? Going to the extent of quoting a clause in the constitution about being "disadvantaged" who determines that? Isn't it the "self" who would know if one is disadvantaged or not?

Coz they hate and will oppose any policy that will generate milleage for jubilee govt. They are playing politics.

Let the gava take a paycut so that we can improve that of doctors and teachers.
Let us also curb corruption and trim those huge allowances so that wanjiku can get better roads and cheaper medicine
