Quote:The energy sector may for the time being not get a female chief executive in any of the male-dominated state firms yet, after Ms Laurencia Njagi declined her appointment to head the industry regulator. Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir told the Nation in an interview that Ms Njagi who had topped a competitive selection process has written a letter turning down the offer to become the director-general of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). http://www.nation.co.ke/.../-/4sofyyz/-/index.html

@MC uko wapi, I said i was sure she wasn't going to take up the job, I was right after all. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.... THE Consumer Federation of Kenya has written to Transport secretary Michael Kamau asking him to revoke Lucy Mbugua's appointment as the new Managing Director of Kenya Airports Authority. In a letter on January 28, Cofek claimed that the interview process was flawed because of the open bias of one director. Cofek claimed that J. Irungu had marked Mbugua extremely highly and Hudson Aluvanze, who came second, extremely poorly. "Can a director (a Mr J. Irungu from Office of the President) justify the huge margin of a whopping 134 marks between his best and worst rated candidate?" Cofek's letter states. "As urged on phone, and given your commendable past record as a public servant, we still repeat our plea that you move with speed to revoke the said appointment and request a fresh recruitment process through an independent and competitively sourced professional recruitment agency," said Cofek Secretary General Stephen Mutoro in his letter to Kamau. According to the Cofek score sheet, if Irungu's marks were removed, Mbugua would have come fourth and Aluvanze would have come top, followed by Yatich Kangungo, Charles Maranga and then Elias Karimi in fifth place.. - See more at: http://the-star.co.ke/ne...fek#sthash.vPpIpUjH.dpufIf Obiero did it, Who Am I?
